The research was conducted in 6 steps as follows : 1) formulation of conceptual framework by a review of related literature and researches; 2) study of the practice by using 5-level rating scale questionnaires asking 260 samples in 163 schools as well as interviewing 12 key informants of 3 best practice schools; 3) drafting the desired model ; 4) \u00a0review of the draft model by a focus group discussion of 10 experts; 5) assessment of the revised model by selected stakeholders in order to ascertain its appropriateness, usefulness and feasibility; and 6) conclusion and report.<\/p>\n<p>The research findings were as follows :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1em; line-height: 1.3em;\">On the whole the practice of school committee\u2019s participation in the administration of academic work under KOPESA 1 was rated high. By aspects, participation in promoting teachers\u2019 continuing further study to develop their instructional skills was the highest practice, followed by participation in planning, formulating the school\u2019s vision and objectives as well as desirable characteristics of students.
